RE: Dead City 

I'm almost in the same situation as playdough. But, in my game, lenin's shadow is pointing at the manhole, as it should, but there's no teleport there. I also have the idol monolith (tried with it in the backpack and on belt).

 

One of the fellow stalkers at the GSC forum is in a game breaking situation,related to  ''find rabinowitz'' quest. Joker,the NPC who should tell about the wounded stalker  is not in the bloodsuckers village. Just one guy's there, Moody ( who has no dialogue) and two dead stalkers ( none of them is Joker).

There is some way to solve this glitch, or the '' new game '' is the only option?

Put in this topic save (file - save, of course, it is desirable with the latest patch and Fix) - a look and maybe find a solution to your problem.

From the guide:

Idol monolith by belting makes the weather clear, so you can easily see the shadows. As Vogak said, teleport works only at 18:00 game time. Exactly - between 18:00 and 18:10. Same is applicable to any next shadows you get. Finding it at correct time is the solution)

here's the save,i'm using the last patch and fix. Few minutes to 1800 hrs. Watch the enemies,they keep coming.

Found the problem. Did not get PDA information from Wulf (Leader) when I gave him Wulf embryo. 

 

The reason is that I needed to go back and speak to Ariadne first. She was with Kotobegmot in Bar and I spoke with here there but then she was with Kotobegmot at Shadovsk and I had to speak to her again. Then I went to Wulf, gave embryo and got Information on PDA. Then to Dead City and got SMS about Monolith Idol and at 18:00 entered teleport.

 

Also strange situation about Lenin statue shadow. The shadow was not strong and clear and hand was not pointing at sewer plate where teleport was.

playdough, Something wrong with the weather. Try to belt Idol Monolith. By belting it changes weather to very clear state. And does it every time you unbelt/belt it whlie you walking by the shadows. If problem persist, please send me a save with this screenshot.

And do you have some weather addon installed?

Proper70,  You are correct. I tried a weather addon briefly (as an experiment) and then removed it. It has obviously changed my user.ltx. I have deleted the user.ltx and created a new one. Shadows now in correct position and belting Idol Monolith also works.  Thank you very much.

Proper70,  Do you sleep at all? Two fixes in one day ... much work for revising English translation files ... LOL

playdough,))) Do you know about such thing as modify date/time? Filtering on this saves you a lot much time) Remeber the first rule of IBM: "The man must think, the mashine - work"))

Proper70,  I understand this Proper70 but when I unpack the gamedata.dba the files do not have your modified data/time. They only have the data/time from when I unpack. Therefore I have no indicator of time difference between files for different Fixes. I use a program called ExamDiffPro to show which files have been changed and where they have been changed. I then update the English translation files with new changes.

Proper70, My apologies for previous post. The message would not send immediately ... there was a problem with my network connection. I tried too much ... therefore many repeat messages. I needed to reboot computer but could not edit the message afterwards.

Ups.. sorry) I forgot about this. You may not translate storyline_info_military now. Because new archievements will be ready only when it'll be written in readme. For now they are in work. And there may be some differences in texts. No more texts were modified in last three fixes, except new quest for borov.

Proper70, Works now ... shows Fix 10.  To make this work I had to delete old user.ltx file and make a new user.ltx file. This is the first time I needed to do this since first installation of OP-2

Hello. Fix10 Patch2.08 was simply wrong set simply for you, for other players, including for me all is normal.

File of user.ltx must not influence on setting of fix, although, on your computer, besides ОР- 2, yet is anything set from a stalker Shadow of Chernobyl? (some the mods?)

playdough, user.ltx has nothing to do with the fixes. May be problem was in something else, not connected with CP-2. You may forgot to exit game before upgrading)

When I enter CPP-1 area the 30 minute Blowout timer activates. How do I stop this happening?

playdough, It is necessary to give the Doctor in Pripyat Strelok PDA. After that, the timer will turn off.
